Pefaco Hotels organized a coktail reception with Gosset Wine House in Champagne and Frapin Wine House in Cognac

On the 11th of October 2016, Pefaco Hotels organized a cocktail reception at Pefaco Hotel Maya Maya 5*, featuring a tasting of Champagne and Cognac from the Gosset Wine House and the Frapin Wine House.

In partnership with L’Archipel, the event gathered more than 200 guests, amongst others Mr. Léonidas MOTTOM, Congolese Minister of Culture, and the two Congolese artists Mystique Mystere and Bouro Mpela.

Pefaco Hotels commits to Sustainable Growth in Africa

Pefaco Hotels launches an environmental awareness campaign for its employees to challenge energy wasting through the good management of energy resources, prerequisite to any sustainable economic growth.

With the continuous improvement of its facilities, the African continent will be able to reach its goal of electrification. It is therefore vital to raise awareness to improve everyday habits. Cornerstone of the economic growth of these countries, the Tourism industry must lead by example with this responsible model.

Pefaco Hotels is carrying out its environmental campaign in its hotels in Africa and is taking advantage of the Africa Hotel Investment Forum (AHIF), in Lomé, to exchange ideas with key industry players about the opportunities that arise from expansion in Africa, and especially the challenges that it supposes.

The campaign is an initiative of Grupo Pefaco, of which Pefaco Hotels is a subsidiary, and will be broadcasted throughout the company’s network in Africa, targeting over 3 000 employees. The environmental campaign is a set of good practices to remind the employees of the importance of the responsible usage of water, electricity and air conditioning at work, healthy habits to optimize the overall energy consumption and have a positive impact on the environment. The founders of the Group, Francis Perez and Olivier Cauro, have set sustainable development as the core of their business model.

Pefaco Hotels takes part in the Africa Hotel Investment Forum of Lome

A delegation of Pefaco Hotels is actually present at the Africa Hotel Investment Forum (AHIF), organized in Togo by Bench Events. The forum’s main purpose is to look at the region in detail and focus on hotel development and finance, how to drive tourism and attract more than just the business traveler.

Pefaco Hotels is currently constructing a hotel complex on the beachside of Lomé:  Pefaco Hotel Prestige Lomé 5*. As a major player in the Togolese Touristic industry, Pefaco Hotels took part in the Forum AHIF.

During the AHIF, Pefaco Hotels will exchange ideas with key industry players about the opportunities that arouse from hotel industry expansion in Africa, and especially the challenges that it supposes.

Pefaco Hotels sponsors the participation of artists at the 2016 Dak’Art Biennial

Pefaco Hotels made a donation to a Congolese & Cameroonian artists’ collective for their participation at the 2016 Biennial of Contemporary African Art in Dakar (Dak’Art) in Senegal. Dak’Art is one of the main art shows of the African continent. The 12th edition of Dak’Art took place from the 3rd of May to the 2nd of June 2016 and was inspired by the theme: “The City in the Blue Daylight” (La Cité dans le jour bleu).

Bill Kouélany, at the head of the workshop les Ateliers SAHM, invited Pefaco Hotels to take part in her project: the plastic artist gathered the Congo-Brazzaville, the Congo-Kinshasa and Cameroonian artists for the second time, in a project entitled: Congo(s) ; sharing aesthetics beyond geographies, aiming at promoting these young artists at an international level.

Training program – Pefaco Hotels supports the Foundation Perspectives d’Avenir

On the 21st of April 2016, Pefaco Hotels took part in the meeting organized by the Foundation Perspectives d’Avenir at the sports complex of Kintélé, inside the Hôtel de la Concorde (Brazzaville).

The gathering aimed at getting the young interns of the 1st edition of the Hospitality Training Program of the Foundation, immersed in the hotel industry. The meeting was followed by a sampling session and a demonstration of the trainees’ skills acquired during the month long training.

By taking part in this action, Pefaco Hotels commits to its sustainable social policy by helping to promote qualified training programs for the Congolese youth, leading to the development of the Republic of the Congo and its population.

For the 2nd year, Goût de France / Good France gathered more than 1700 chefs from 5 continents to celebrate the excellence of French cuisine. The event took place during the spring equinox, on the 21st of March 2016, in all participating restaurants.

In collaboration with the French Ambassy in Congo, Pefaco Hotel Maya Maya 5* participated in the event, with their Chef Romain Dossou-Yovo at the head of the French restaurant Le Bistro Parisien, preparing a delicious menu to delight the tastes buds of all guests.
